*RCI is the largest vacation timeshare exchange network in the world. With over 4,500 affiliated resorts in more than 100 countries, it allows Royal Holiday members to exchange Holiday Credits for weeks in Timeshares. This benefit is free during the first year of having a Royal Holiday membership; from then on you taking advantage of your RCI membership is optional. Ask your Holiday Advisor.
This is how your Membership works!
If you cannot travel one year...
You may transfer 100% of the total amount of Holiday Credits and save them for the following year. By then you will have double the amount of credits, good to use for a longer stay, booking a reservation during high season; traveling to the Resort of your choice, inviting family or friends, or for planning several trips that year. Take advantage of this benefit every other year. If you cannot travel 2 years in a roll, you may accumulate 20% of your Holiday Credits (from the previous year) and use them for a trip. Call your Holiday Advisor because this benefit is not automatic.

Example
It’s 2009 and you have just received 10,000 yearly membership credits. But you are not planning to use any of these for a trip. You may accumulate all your credits and use them the following year.
It’s 2010 and again you receive 10,000 membership Holiday Credits. This means you will have accumulated 20,000 credits. However, you decide you only want to use 15,000 of these. So you have 5,000 left of which you can accumulate 2,000 (or 20% of the total amount of credits of 2010). This means that in 2011 you’ll have 12,000 credits, which you may use or lose.
In 2012 you receive 10,000 yearly membership credits but you cannot travel. You may roll over 100% of the total number of credits and use them the following year, and so on.
If you already have a confirmed reservation but you cannot travel...
- There is a $40 dollar charge if you cancel 90 days (or more) in advance, prior to the date of the confirmed reservation
- There is a $100 dollar charge if you cancel 31 to 89 days in advance, prior to the confirmed date of reservation
- If you cancel 30 days or prior to the confirmed reservation, your Holiday Credits and reservation will be voided. Make sure to call your Holiday Advisor
If you want to invite family or friends but you don’t have enough credits, you may...
- Purchase more Holiday Credits
- Transfer those Holiday Credits you didn't use the previous year
- Accelerate the use of Holiday Credits. This only applies on members that are 50 years (or older)
- Get a higher level of membership so you can enjoy more Holiday Credits, permanently, every year!
If you convince a relative or friend to get a Royal Holiday membership, you could receive...
- A 10,000 Holiday Credit certificate. No activation fee is required and it is valid for one year
- A $300 dollar check (or wire transfer), which can come in handy to cover your membership installments, maintenance fee, to rent a car, or whatever you need
If you need to take a longer vacation you may...
- Purchase additional credits at the time of making a new reservation
- Accumulate credits from one year to the next
- Upgrade your membership. There are plenty of options. Call your Holiday Advisor!
If you are 50 years (or older) you may...
Transfer Holiday Credits from one year to the next, and use double the amount. You may also accelerate Holiday Credits from the last year of your membership and use them the 1st year; speed up those for year 29 and use them during 2nd year, and so on.
For example, if you are allotted 30,000 credits each year, you'll have 60,000 every time you use this benefit. You must pay the annual membership fee for both years when using this option.
If a relative or friend wants to travel with your membership...
It is definitely possible! Let your Holiday Advisor know the names, addresses and complete information of your guests. Keep in mind that while the reservation will be under their name, the membership will remain under yours. For more information, call your Holiday Advisor!
